We have been so creative this winter!
Fresh from  our studio, we introduce our magnificent new Glass Cross Bottles.
 February 19, 2016
Winter is a time of rest, redirection and renewal.  It is the perfect time for contemplation and deep thought,  a time for leaning into the Word of God and opening one's heart to inspiration and new direction.  For me, being in the studio once again, is a time of being alone and still and listening. A  time of such special oneness with my Lord that can only  produce great creativity and a fresh new perspective from the Father.  I have grown to enjoy this very special gift of Winter in a way I never ever thought possible.

Artists spend much of their time alone.  But I have learned that the artistic gifts I have been blessed with are much more than just creativity.  It is here in the stillness that I can be focused with a razor sharpness on my King.  I spend time in my little studio getting closer to Him while my hands are producing the things He allows me to dream of and then create  for His purpose.

In my studio, I am blessed with time to listen to all kinds of incredible teaching via the internet and can spend the day talking with Him and studying the purposeful things I need to know for this season.  My hands are creating while my heart and mind are being filled with such important truths.  I pray every day that the Lord will open my eyes and ears to truth. That He will teach me the Biblical eschatology that we need to know for the times we are living in today.

This winter of 2016 I have been inspired to create Glass Cross Bottles. I have long admired them and decided to try my hand at creating some of my own. Each bottle is unique and very one of a kind. They are made from Centuries old collected glass bottles and re-purposed vintage European lead crystals. Each bottle is adorned with  hand chosen beads, jewels, crosses and charms and is wrought with a heavy layering of old world solder.

Thank you for visiting! Terry

Still working diligently and still focused on the creative as we move into spring and the beginning of April 2016.   My family had many set backs and losses this year but I remain positive and thankful and counting all of the Father's blessings with a humble heart.

It is not about the bunny...
                                                              It is about the Lamb.

Today we celebrate our living Lord and His victory over the death and the grave.
Our King has taken the burden of all of our sins and died in our place on the cross and has risen and lives!  He will soon call His children to Him so that we can live together in Glory.
I for one, await that day will such great anticipation and joy and hope.

This world is such a mess.  It seems what is right is now wrong and what is wrong is now right. Everything is backwards and people today are so inward and narcissistic. The world is spinning out of control with so much brokenness , frustration and anger.
I try very hard to stay focused on what is good. Creativity helps with that. It is such a blessing to live surrounded by beauty and the majesty of the blue mountains and all of God's creatures.  We get a tiny glimpse of how this world should have been and feel His presence by all of His creation.  Here, we are still, and thankful. We have given up the feeling of  "what is  next" and the need to be in constant motion. So much of what people do today is motion without true meaning.  The agenda that seems to be right because everyone else is caught up in it.
We have been hijacked into thinking that the simple life is not enough. Into thinking that we need to be entertained and to have more and that always pursuing the next best thing is what we are supposed to do. We, as a culture, no longer know how to enjoy simplicity.  To be free of a tight schedule and a bucket list and what I need to own or to do next and to just relax and look around at how much pure joy there is in laying in the green grass or listening to all the spring birds. So many today spend hours and hours posting away every non important detail on social media trying to get some sense of acceptance or attention or validation. It is so sad and so false.
I wish social media was gone. It is incredibly destructive and very dangerous.

Being a photographer and an artist, I love sharing photos of animals or children just living. Not competing or winning or boasting, just inspired by or being thankful for or satisfied taking care of and being still and hearing God.  We are all so broken. I am so broken but I don't want to be.
I want to be free from the sin that binds us here and to be forgiven and renewed and washed white as snow and I want to be used by the Lord for His purpose every day until He calls us home.

I love these verses
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Those are my thoughts this day.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Our King is risen!

O
One of my creative companions! Our beautiful Max!

May 2016

It has been a nice spring and we have received much needed delicious rain.  Our herd of Gypsy Horses are happy and thriving. We have been working on training and finding the right instruction level for each horse and think we are on the right track.  Our farm is a loving one and the animals here are so very sweet, laid back and very happy on a day to day basis. That is a great blessing and we are thankful.
We  have confirmed our best mares to be in foal to an amazing Stallion for 2017 babies! We will be announcing more in the near future after I travel to meet him in person!! So excited!

Our line of stunning horsehair jewelry has been launched to rave reviews and I am pleased with all the kind praises. My horsehair is from our very own herd of Gypsy horses so it is unique in many different ways. I use a lot of Sterling Silver and Swarovski crystals and beads and each piece is a true work of art.  I will be doing  several trunk shows in person in Hendersonville, NC this summer at Art Mob with my jewelry and also my Glass Cross Bottles.  It will be great to be able to hear feedback in person and to meet and share with many different people in the process.  My husband Larry loves people and enjoys the public thoroughly. He loves new friends and enjoys talking to each one!

Lastly, I have just sent all my fine art work  from this past winter to my Fine Art Printer. I will, of course, be very excited to unveil the fruits of my labor to the public. I have five large originals that are all very different. I think this summer will be a busy one in the gallery. I have some other creative plans for some new art adventures and will begin on them in the days to come.  My camera has been back on my shoulder again with new photography.  Feeling very blessed and always thankful to my Lord for each and every day...

Favorite verse
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish: neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."   John 10:28

Having been very focused on being artistic and trying to be responsible with creativity in a financially supportive manner,  I have not been adding to my blog in the past months as I should have.
I am inspired to share my thoughts today  so here goes.

The artistic gifts I have been blessed with are flowing over and the studio is brimming and alive with new projects. I have been very deliberate with the pursuit of the fine jewelry making arts and have been stretching my skills with jewels, a torch and solder.  I will be adding a new line of both handmade jewelry and also fine accessories for the home in the days ahead.  If you haven't already visited my on line shop you are missing out.  We have over 600 items now and many are newly listed. I love being in the studio where I can gather my thoughts and gain great inspiration from the time I spend there with my Lord. It is my special place and I so cherish my time there and my time with the Father. Being creative with the original Creator! The best!!

We have been downsizing our herd of horses and will only be keeping just a few. We are trying to lighten our daily work load and feel the Lord changing our direction once again.
Anyone that has ever cared for and raised horses or livestock knows how much work is involved and can appreciate the fatigue we feel after over ten years of caring for many.

The past several months have been especially challenging. Many things in our own lives have changed and many tough trials have come our way. Our country is also very divided and things are greatly changing there as well. We are bracing for many more changes ahead and trusting our Lord. He knows the beginning from the end and He can see the things  down the road that we can't see. We continue to say thank you even in the great disappointments.  I am  trusting  in my loving sovereign God and what He chooses to provide for us.

Some of my latest projects...
